The Ocaso Knives Sovranto is a modern take on a timeless design, blending the heritage of slipjoint knives with premium materials and precise craftsmanship. Designed in collaboration with custom knifemaker Mike Wallace, this knife was conceived with a clear mission: to create a simple, stylish, and highly functional slipjoint that’s legal to carry in as many places as possible, without compromising performance or feel. Two years of development went into perfecting the ergonomics, action, and overall balance, resulting in a knife that’s as elegant as it is practical. The Ocaso Sovranto was featured at the 2026 SHOT Show in Vegas, showcasing its innovative slipjoint design and premium craftsmanship to a global audience.
At the heart of the Sovranto is a 2.75-inch blade crafted from CPM MagnaCut steel. This high-performance steel delivers exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness, giving the blade reliable cutting ability in everyday tasks. The satin finish enhances the sleek, refined look of the blade while keeping maintenance simple. The slipjoint mechanism provides smooth “walk and talk” operation, a solid half-stop for controlled use, and a satisfying, secure close. With its non-locking design, the Sovranto remains safe and legal to carry in many areas where locking knives are restricted.
The handle is constructed from lightweight, anodized titanium, offering strength without bulk. Its slim, contoured shape feels natural in hand, allowing for precise control while maintaining an understated, elegant aesthetic. The ambidextrous fold-over pocket clip provides deep carry and can be removed and replaced with the included clip cover when a clipless, ultra-compact carry is preferred. Every detail, from the smooth contours to the tactile engagement of the blade, reflects thoughtful design and precision execution.
Measuring 6.375 inches overall and weighing just 2 ounces, the Sovranto is compact enough for daily carry yet substantial enough to inspire confidence in hand. Made in Maniago, Italy, a region with a storied history of knife craftsmanship, this knife combines Italian tradition with modern innovation. It’s a versatile gentleman’s knife, ideal for those who appreciate high-quality materials, meticulous construction, and functional design in a compact, carry-friendly package.
