At the heart of this version is Olive Knives’ Toughened Tungsten Carbide blade, a material renowned for exceptional wear resistance and edge retention. Measuring 3.1 inches long and featuring a versatile drop-point profile, the blade is built to handle continuous slicing, cutting, and demanding utility tasks with remarkable consistency. The Toughened Tungsten Carbide construction achieves an impressive 71 HRC hardness while maintaining the toughness needed for real-world use. Paired with a compound grind (double bevel) and a scratch finish, the blade delivers a combination of cutting efficiency, durability, and understated industrial style. The factory edge is ground to 18 degrees per side, providing a keen working edge capable of tackling a wide range of cutting chores.
While the patented Fibonacci grind is reserved for Olive Knives’ Elmax® stainless super steel models, it represents the company’s commitment to advanced blade geometry. Inspired by the naturally occurring Fibonacci sequence, the grind is engineered to optimize cutting performance, edge stability, and material flow through the cut. This Tungsten Carbide version instead utilizes a specialized compound grind that maximizes the unique characteristics of the carbide blade material for long-lasting performance and exceptional wear resistance.
The matte black G10 handle provides the secure grip serious users need when conditions become less than ideal. Its textured surface is engineered to maintain traction through sweat, moisture, dirt, and extended use, while the ergonomic shape offers excellent comfort and control. A finger groove positioned above the pivot enhances precision during detailed cutting tasks while still providing the leverage necessary for heavier work.
The Compression Spring Bar Lock (CSBL) system uses twin compression springs to create smooth, confident operation and reliable lockup. An oversized pivot thrust washer further contributes to the knife’s solid feel and dependable action. Fully ambidextrous in design, the Lenta features a reversible deep-carry pocket clip for convenient carry and a lanyard hole integrated through the fastener system for additional carry options.
