Hardened to approximately 60–61.5 HRC, the blade is tough enough for demanding work while remaining easier to maintain than many high-hardness specialty steels. The clean bare-metal finish emphasizes the knife's purposeful design, while the factory 18-degree-per-side edge provides excellent slicing performance right out of the box.
