Make meals on the move more convenient with the Opinel Picnic+ Set with No. 08 Folding Knife. Designed as part of Opinel’s Nomad Cooking Collection, this practical picnic set replaces disposable utensils with a reusable knife, fork, and spoon combination that’s ready for everything from trail lunches to weekend picnics and camp cooking.
At the center of the set is a classic No. 08 folding knife with a durable stainless steel blade and wood handle. The knife provides a reliable cutting tool for preparing food, slicing snacks, opening packages, and handling other everyday camp chores. When you’re finished, the folding design keeps the knife compact and easy to pack alongside the rest of your outdoor gear.
The real innovation comes from the Picnic+ inserts. Using the Virobloc safety ring built into compatible No. 08 wooden-handled knives, the fork and spoon inserts attach directly to the knife, giving you a clever all-in-one dining setup without the need to carry a separate utensil kit. The system is simple, compact, and designed with life on the go in mind.
This Complete Set includes the No. 08 stainless steel folding knife, fork insert, spoon insert, and a dual-use microfiber napkin. The napkin also serves as a carrying case, giving you a convenient way to keep the pieces together between meals. With the knife and insert measuring approximately 7.6 inches and the complete setup weighing just 3.5 ounces, it won’t take up much room in a backpack, lunch bag, or picnic basket.
The Picnic+ Set is a natural fit for hikers, campers, travelers, and anyone who prefers reusable gear over disposable cutlery. It’s equally useful for an outdoor lunch on the trail or a quick meal during a busy day. The combination of traditional Opinel design and clever modern functionality makes it a versatile addition to your everyday gear.
If you already own a compatible wooden-handled No. 08 folding knife equipped with the Virobloc safety ring, the fork and spoon inserts can also be used with it. For compatible knives dating from around 2000 onward, the Picnic+ system gives you an easy way to expand your existing Opinel setup.
