The Piratech Fixed Kráki Stitched Alcantara Leather-TI Handle Satin S35VN Blade is a fresh and innovative take on the everyday steak knife, blending premium materials, cutting-edge engineering, and automotive-inspired styling into a lightweight fixed blade that's as functional as it is distinctive. Designed by Damon Huang, the Fixed Kráki is built for those who appreciate exceptional cutting performance while refusing to settle for ordinary design.
At the heart of the knife is a 3.86-inch sheepfoot blade crafted from CPM-S35VN stainless steel. Renowned for its excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness, CPM-S35VN is a proven performer for both dining and everyday cutting tasks. The blade undergoes liquid nitrogen quenching and is hardened to 61±1 HRC, creating a durable edge capable of maintaining razor-sharp performance through repeated use. Finished with a high-precision micro satin treatment, the blade offers a refined appearance that complements the knife's modern aesthetic. Measuring just 0.10 inches thick and featuring a highly efficient cutting geometry coefficient of 0.0929, the Fixed Kráki delivers exceptional slicing performance with minimal resistance.
The design takes inspiration from the world of hypercars, combining clean titanium construction with hand-stitched Alcantara® leather scales. The result is a unique blend of luxury and utility that feels equally at home at the dinner table or tackling light-duty daily cutting tasks. The Alcantara inserts provide enhanced grip and a comfortable tactile feel reminiscent of a high-performance sports car steering wheel, while the zirconia ceramic bead-blasted titanium frame adds durability and understated sophistication.
One of the most innovative features of the Fixed Kráki is Piratech's MagSnap system. This clever design allows the scales to be removed quickly and easily without the hassle of traditional fasteners. Beyond customization and convenience, the removable scale system makes cleaning remarkably simple. Users can separate the scales and wash both the knife and handle components with dish soap, helping eliminate hard-to-reach areas where moisture or debris might accumulate. The scales can even provide a satisfying fidget-friendly experience when removed and reattached.
Piratech also engineered extensive internal weight reduction into both the tang and handle scales, resulting in an impressively lightweight fixed blade weighing less than three ounces. The balance point falls directly at the finger cutout, giving the knife exceptional handling characteristics and precise control during use. The ergonomic handle shape and thoughtfully designed finger choil provide comfort across multiple grip positions while maintaining the sleek, flowing lines that define the Kráki family.
Measuring 8.23 inches overall with a 3.78-inch cutting edge, the Fixed Kráki offers an ideal balance of capability, comfort, and style. Each knife includes an individual hardness certificate, verifying the blade's performance and quality.
