The Rada Perfect Pare Set Black Handle brings together two dependable paring knives designed to handle the everyday prep work that happens before the cooking begins. Made in America and built around sharp, high-carbon stainless steel blades, this two-piece set gives cooks a straightforward combination for peeling, slicing, trimming, and working with thicker-skinned fruits and vegetables.
The Regular Paring Knife is Rada’s best-selling knife and serves as the compact workhorse of the set. Its 3¼-inch blade is sized for controlled cutting, making it useful for peeling fruits and vegetables, trimming ingredients, slicing smaller foods, and handling detailed kitchen tasks. With an overall length of 6¾ inches, it offers a compact profile that's easy to maneuver when precision matters.
The Heavy Duty Paring Knife uses the same 3¼-inch blade length but pairs it with a slightly longer handle, bringing the overall length to 7⅛ inches. That additional handle length provides increased leverage and control when working with larger or tougher foods. It's particularly useful for preparing cucumbers, potatoes, and other thicker-skinned produce, while also providing a capable option for trimming chicken breasts and handling broader prep duties.
Both knives feature black aluminum handles with built-in finger guards. The finger guard adds an additional layer of separation between the user's fingers and the cutting edge while providing a secure point of contact during everyday prep. The black aluminum construction gives the set a clean, professional appearance while maintaining a lightweight feel in the hand.
Rada hand sharpens the blades from super-hard surgical-grade T420 high-carbon stainless steel. The blades are hollow ground to establish a sharp cutting edge designed for long-lasting performance and edge retention. When maintenance is eventually required, sharpening can be handled at home with Rada’s Quick Edge Knife Sharpener, making routine edge care straightforward and economical.
The Perfect Pare Gift Set keeps things simple by focusing on two highly useful knife profiles rather than filling the kitchen drawer with unnecessary tools. The Regular Paring provides nimble control for smaller tasks, while the Heavy Duty Paring adds leverage and versatility when ingredients demand a little more muscle.
Made in America, the Rada Perfect Pare Set combines practical design, durable materials, and purpose-built blade geometry for everyday kitchen preparation. It's a compact pairing that can handle everything from delicate peeling and trimming to heavier produce prep with confidence.
