The Old Mountain 10.5-inch Round Griddle is a specialized, low-profile tool designed for the kind of flat-top cooking that standard pans just can't handle. High sidewalls on traditional frying pans trap steam and get in the way of your spatula, often leading to soggy edges or torn pancakes. This griddle solves that with an open, low-rim design that lets moisture escape instantly for a perfect sear while providing total clearance for easy, precision flipping.
The real advantage is the combination of its open geometry and massive thermal mass. Because the cooking surface is flat and exposed, you get faster evaporation—the secret to achieving that deep, golden-brown Maillard crust rather than "steaming" your food. The 4.6 lb cast iron body stays scorching hot even when you drop in cold batter or proteins, ensuring that your first pancake looks just as good as your last.
Built for everything from morning eggs to evening campfire steaks, this griddle features a 9.25-inch cooking area that ensures uniform heat from edge to edge. Moving the pan is safe and stable thanks to the long primary handle and integrated assist tab, giving you total control when transitioning from the stovetop to the oven. It arrives pre-seasoned and ready to perform, offering a rugged, reliable surface that outlasts any non-stick alternative.
