This is the beefiest folding Marlin spike sailing knife I've ever had. The blade has an interesting tapered sheepsfoot that is broad at the tip and narrows towards the pivot. It has the safety benefits of a sheep's foot with a tip that Acts like a wharncliff. The spike is massive but doesn't lock; however, the walk and talk on the blade is awesome, with a very snappy half-stop. The denim micarta actually looks like denim which reminds me of my old navy dungaree uniform from back in my sailing days. It's a beautiful knife but also a very capable and functional one.
