Built with unmistakable Spartan Blades DNA, the Moros FDE & Green is a purpose-driven fixed blade that blends modern materials with battlefield-tested design philosophy. Crafted entirely in the USA in North Carolina and designed by Curtis Iovito, co-founder of Spartan Blades, this knife reflects a relentless focus on strength, balance, and real-world performance. Every line, contour, and material choice serves a function, making the Moros a serious tool for professionals and dedicated knife users alike.
At the heart of the Moros is a 5.25-inch spear point blade made from CPM-S45VN stainless steel. Known for its exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, S45VN delivers dependable cutting performance across demanding environments. The flat ground main bevel provides efficient slicing, while the tapered top edge enhances penetration and tip control. Finished with a SpartaCoat PVD ZrN coating in Flat Dark Earth, the blade maintains a non-reflective profile and adds an extra layer of durability against wear and corrosion. With a blade thickness of 0.18 inches and an overall length of 10 inches, the Moros strikes a confident balance between strength and agility.
The full tang construction runs seamlessly into contoured CE Canvas Micarta handle scales in green, giving the knife a rugged yet refined feel. Micarta is prized for its durability and grip security, and this 3D-contoured handle takes it further with thoughtfully placed finger grooves, a textured thumb ramp, and jimping that enhance control in both wet and dry conditions. The ergonomics encourage a natural grip that reduces fatigue during extended use, while still allowing fast transitions between grips when the task demands it.
Weighing just 7.34 ounces without the sheath, the Moros feels light and responsive in hand, yet it remains strong under load thanks to its full tang design and robust materials. Paired with its thermoformed Kydex sheath, the total carry weight comes in at 12.42 ounces. The coyote tan sheath is molded for secure retention and quick access, and it’s compatible with belt or MOLLE carry depending on your preferred attachment setup. This makes the Moros adaptable for field carry, training, or duty use without unnecessary bulk.
Every Spartan Blades Moros is built to meet uncompromising standards, and this FDE and green configuration delivers both tactical functionality and understated style. It’s a knife meant to be used, trusted, and relied upon when conditions aren’t forgiving.
