Drawing its design inspiration from the Harrier 2, the current evolution of the original Harrier and the foundation of the byrd lineup, the Magpie takes a proven design and gives it a bold, updated appearance.
At the heart of the Magpie is a 3.28-inch, full-flat-ground blade made from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel. This capable steel offers improved carbon and chromium content compared to its predecessor, providing a useful balance of edge retention and corrosion resistance for everyday cutting tasks. The blade features a sleek black oxide coating that gives the knife a rugged appearance while complementing its contrasting handle. This model comes with a PlainEdge cutting edge, giving you a clean, continuous edge that's well suited for controlled slicing, cutting, and general EDC work.
The handle is where the Magpie really stands apart. Black, peel-ply-textured G-10 scales are accented with sinuous white G-10 inlays, creating a striking pattern inspired by the bird that gives this knife its name. Nested stainless steel liners add strength while keeping the profile clean and streamlined.
