At its core is a 2.98" full-flat-ground blade crafted from CPM S90V stainless steel, a high-vanadium powder metallurgy steel known for its exceptional wear resistance and superior edge retention. Designed to hold a razor-sharp edge through extended use, CPM S90V excels in demanding cutting tasks while still maintaining strong corrosion resistance thanks to its carefully balanced alloy composition. The polished finish highlights the refinement of the blade while underscoring its premium performance pedigree.

The Native 5 platform is anchored by Spyderco’s ultra-precise back lock mechanism, housed within full stainless steel liners that provide rock-solid strength and long-term reliability. The liners are finely machined along the edges with decorative filework, adding a custom-inspired detail that elevates the knife beyond standard production aesthetics.
