The blade is flat ground nearly to the spine, producing a refined cutting geometry that slices cleanly while also extending sharpening life over prolonged field use. At 0.25 inches thick and heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 59–61, it strikes a balance between strength and cutting efficiency, giving it the durability expected from a professional-grade tool.
