Tops Hayden Creek Single Edge Fixed Blade TPHNCK-01

The TOPS Hayden Creek Single Edge Fixed Blade is purpose-built for demanding utility work, rescue operations, and situations where a traditional sharp point can create unnecessary risk. Designed with function and control in mind, this specialized fixed blade features a distinctive blunt nose that prioritizes safety without sacrificing cutting performance. By eliminating the pointed tip, the Hayden Creek reduces the risk of accidental punctures when working close to people, equipment, or other sensitive materials. It's a practical choice for emergency responders, outdoor professionals, and anyone who needs a rugged cutting tool for challenging field conditions.

The blade is crafted from 1095 high-carbon steel, a proven material known for its toughness, durability, and ability to take a dependable edge. Heat-treated to 56–58 HRC, it offers a practical balance of strength, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. A black traction-coated finish provides a subdued appearance while adding a protective layer against wear and corrosion. The single-edge design features a straight cutting surface that delivers controlled, consistent performance across a variety of demanding tasks.

The Hayden Creek's squared-off front nose serves as more than a safety feature. Its sturdy profile makes it useful for scraping, scoring, and light levering tasks that could put a conventional pointed blade at risk. The flat nose can help remove material from surfaces, open containers, and provide additional control during close-up work. Its straight cutting edge is well-suited for pull-cuts through tough materials such as rope, webbing, leather, carpet, and heavy cardboard. In emergency situations, the blunt profile also allows the blade to be worked beneath seatbelts, clothing, and other materials with less risk of accidentally puncturing the person being assisted.

A brown Micarta handle provides a durable, dependable grip that complements the knife's rugged construction. Built to withstand demanding conditions, Micarta offers a solid feel in hand and a practical appearance suited to hard-use equipment. An attached tan paracord lanyard adds a convenient handling option, while the included brown leather belt-loop sheath provides secure storage and accessible carry in the field.

Whether you're responding to an emergency, tackling tough utility jobs, or working with materials that require controlled cutting, the TOPS Hayden Creek delivers specialized performance in a rugged fixed-blade package. It's a purpose-driven tool designed for situations where control, durability, and safety matter.
