Underwood Ammo combines trademark power and precision with Lehigh Defense’s masterfully designed Xtreme Penetrator® bullet to create a hard-hitting .357 Magnum load. This 140-grain solid copper projectile is precision CNC machined and completely lead free, featuring a unique nose designed to promote straight, deep penetration and consistent performance.
The Xtreme Penetrator® uses a blunt nose and specialized cutting edges to transfer energy while helping the projectile pass through barriers without deformation or deflection. Its unique nose design creates increased hydraulic pressure for a larger permanent wound column and deep penetration. The solid copper construction also helps maintain the bullet’s shape through demanding conditions.
Loaded to 1,550 fps, this ammunition produces 747 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Underwood uses flash-suppressed powder to help reduce muzzle flash in low-light conditions. Each round features nickel-plated brass cases for improved corrosion resistance, reliable feeding, easier cleanup, and reduced tarnishing during storage. These new-production, non-corrosive cartridges are boxer primed and reloadable.
This ammunition is suppressor safe and comes 20 rounds per box. Underwood doesn't recommend using this load in ultra-light alloy revolvers because their extremely light weight can produce intense recoil and potentially cause bullets to jump the crimp.
