The Viper Knives Hug Bronze is a refined expression of utility and craftsmanship, built for those who value performance wrapped in elegant detail. Designed by Sacha Thiel and precision-manufactured in Maniago, Italy, this folding knife is part of Viper's Hug series, where traditional slipjoint construction meets contemporary design language.
The Hug Bronze features a 3.125-inch Wharncliffe blade crafted from Bohler M390 stainless steel, one of the most advanced steels available for edge retention, corrosion resistance, and wear performance. The blade's satin finish enhances its clean lines while a nail nick offers easy manual deployment. Built with a slipjoint mechanism and riding on bronze washers, the Hug opens smoothly and offers a satisfying level of resistance for safe handling.
This knife was made with versatility and legality in mind. Its non-locking slipjoint mechanism allows for easy carry in areas with strict knife laws, while its symmetrical design makes it ideal for both right- and left-handed users. At 4.1 inches closed and weighing 5.2 ounces, the Hug strikes a solid balance between everyday carry and full-hand control.
What truly sets the Hug Bronze apart is its distinct handle design. The sandblasted bronze scales are finished with a finely machined wolf fur pattern—a rugged, tactile texture that nods to the wild while maintaining a sleek, understated profile. This handle isn’t just about looks; it provides a secure grip and a commanding presence in the hand. Every detail, from the material choice to the design language, reflects the care and precision Viper Knives is known for.
Each Hug Bronze comes with a premium brown leather sheath for protected carry, adding a touch of old-world charm to a modern tool. Whether you're a collector, craftsman, or someone who appreciates fine tools that hold up under pressure, the Hug delivers both function and form in one compact package.
