At 16.2 inches overall, the V-44X-III commands attention with its substantial 10-inch Bowie blade and 9.3-inch cutting edge. The classic clip-point profile captures the enduring appeal of the Bowie while providing a versatile platform for bushcraft, field work, camp chores, and demanding outdoor tasks. Full-tang construction gives the knife a strong, continuous foundation, while the 0.216-inch blade thickness provides the substantial build you'd expect from a large fixed blade.
The SK85 steel blade features a saber grind with a convex edge, combining a robust cutting geometry with effective slicing capability. Its Dark Washed finish gives the blade a rugged, weathered appearance that perfectly complements the V44X's military-inspired character. Since the Dark Wash finish can vary in tone, each knife has a distinctive appearance that's uniquely its own.
The natural canvas Micarta handle adds a classic field-tool aesthetic while providing a durable and comfortable grip. Its earthy color contrasts naturally with the darkened blade and black sheath, creating a traditional yet modern appearance.
