Measuring 16.2 inches overall, the V-44X-III features a substantial 10-inch Bowie blade with a 9.3-inch cutting edge. The classic clip-point profile delivers the unmistakable character of a traditional Bowie while providing a versatile platform for bushcraft, field work, camp chores, and demanding outdoor applications. Full-tang construction gives the knife a solid foundation from blade to handle, while the 0.216-inch blade thickness provides the substantial build expected from a large fixed blade.
The SK85 steel blade features a saber grind with a convex edge, combining a robust cutting geometry with effective slicing performance. Its Dark Washed finish gives the blade a rugged, weathered appearance that perfectly complements the V44X's military-inspired styling. Because the Dark Wash finish can vary in tone, every knife has its own individual character and appearance.
A natural canvas Micarta grip provides a classic, durable handle material with a comfortable feel in hand. Its earthy appearance works naturally with the darkened blade and gives the knife a traditional field-tool aesthetic. The V44X's refined ergonomics help provide improved control and balance despite its substantial size. At 29.5 ounces, it has the reassuring heft of a serious full-size Bowie.
The included ODG Kydex sheath provides secure storage and versatile carry options. The sheath system features two D-rings, two shoulder straps, a custom belt loop, and two nylon loop bands, allowing you to configure your carry setup according to your needs.
