At the heart of the V44X-III is a substantial 10-inch Bowie blade crafted from SK85 steel. Measuring 0.216 inches thick, the blade has the strength and rigidity expected from a knife of this size while retaining a practical cutting profile. The saber grind transitions into a convex edge, giving the blade a durable geometry suited to demanding outdoor work. A wide fuller adds visual depth and pays tribute to the original V44's distinctive double-fuller design while reinforcing the aggressive character of this modern Marine-inspired Bowie.
The hand-rub APO finish gives the blade a rugged, subdued appearance that complements its utilitarian design. Because the finish is applied by hand, each knife can have its own individual character and variations in tone, making every V44X-III unique. The natural canvas micarta handle provides a durable, dependable grip that pairs naturally with the knife's hard-working aesthetic.
