The Work Tuff Gear Wolverine Gen 2 Fixed Blade is a rugged, purpose-built survival knife engineered for serious field use. Combining a tough Böhler K329 blade with a secure 3D machined G-10 handle and a distinctive vintage copper washed finish, this Wolverine delivers the strength and versatility needed for demanding outdoor tasks. It’s a medium-sized fixed blade that bridges the gap between compact field knives and larger chopping tools without sacrificing control or maneuverability.
The Gen 2 brings several meaningful refinements to the Wolverine platform. The handle has been slightly enlarged, creating a fuller grip that sits securely in the hand and provides improved control during extended use. The blade steel has been upgraded from SK85/A8Max to Böhler K329, offering enhanced toughness and edge stability with a 57-59 RC hardness. A false edge has also been added, improving penetration and overall efficiency when the knife is used for thrusting tasks.
Measuring 6.7 inches in length with a 6.5-inch cutting edge, the drop point blade provides a practical balance of cutting performance and rugged strength. At 0.187 inches thick, it has the substantial construction needed for batoning and light chopping while remaining versatile enough for everyday camp and survival chores. The saber grind transitions into a convex edge geometry, helping the Wolverine maintain a strong cutting profile while providing the control needed for detailed work such as carving and feather sticking.
A thumb ramp gives your hand an additional point of leverage and control, while the 3D machined G-10 handle provides a durable, ergonomic grip. The hand-applied vintage copper washed finish gives the blade a weathered, distinctive appearance, paired with black textured G-10 scales for a hard-working look that’s every bit as rugged as the knife itself.
The Wolverine Gen 2 also features a sharp 90-degree spine designed to throw sparks from a fire steel, adding another layer of practical utility for backcountry and survival applications. With an overall length of 11.8 inches and a weight of 15.3 ounces, it has the size and heft to tackle demanding jobs while remaining manageable in the field.
A black Kydex sheath is included, bringing the total carry weight to 19.05 ounces and providing a secure way to transport the knife. Whether you’re processing firewood, preparing kindling, carving, building camp, or handling more demanding survival tasks, the Work Tuff Gear Wolverine Gen 2 is built with the toughness and versatility to perform when it counts.
