Hornady Subsonic 9mm Luger 147 Grain XTP ammunition is designed for shooters who want reliable performance, exceptional accuracy, and controlled terminal results from a subsonic handgun load. Built around Hornady's proven XTP bullet technology, this ammunition delivers the consistency and dependability needed for hunting applications where precision and shot placement are critical. Whether used in a standard pistol or a suppressed platform, this load provides smooth, reliable performance with reduced report and manageable recoil.

At the heart of this cartridge is the 147 grain Hornady XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) bullet. Renowned for its controlled expansion and deep penetration, the XTP is engineered to perform consistently across a broad range of velocities. Its carefully designed hollow point cavity and precision jacket construction help deliver reliable expansion while maintaining the weight retention necessary for effective terminal performance on small to medium-sized game.

Traveling at a subsonic muzzle velocity of 975 fps and producing 310 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, this load is optimized to remain below the speed of sound while still delivering meaningful downrange effectiveness. The heavy-for-caliber bullet contributes to excellent stability and accuracy, making it a strong choice for hunters seeking dependable performance without excessive recoil or muzzle blast.

Each cartridge is loaded into a premium brass casing and paired with a reliable centerfire Boxer primer for consistent ignition and smooth cycling. Hornady's stringent quality control standards ensure uniform pressures, dependable accuracy, and reliable function from shot to shot.

Packaged in a 25-round box, Hornady Subsonic 9mm ammunition delivers the precision, consistency, and proven XTP performance hunters can rely on in the field.

The Hornady 9mm Subsonic uses brass cases and XTP bullets for reliable hunting performance.
