New CPM SPY27 Models
Developed in collaboration with Crucible Industries, CPM SPY27 is a high-performance stainless steel produced exclusively for Spyderco. It features a finely tuned alloy composition that includes vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen, all optimized by the inclusion of cobalt and refined through Crucible’s Particle Metallurgy process. This American-made steel delivers a superior balance of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Many Spyderco models now showcase CPM SPY27 blades, finished in satin and paired with either textured FRN or cobalt blue G-10 handles. Chaparral (Red Dark Matter Fatcarbon)
The Spyderco Chaparral continues its tradition of material innovation with stunning Red Dark Matter Fatcarbon Carbon Fiber handle scales. Precision-machined and visually striking, these lightweight scales are made from recycled carbon fiber, organic pigments, and biobased epoxy, then forged under heat and pressure for exceptional strength and chemical resistance. Police Model (Black)

COBOL
The Spyderco COBOL, designed by Paul Alexander, showcases his signature design language in a non-locking format built around his unique Ball Joint SLIPIT mechanism. Its 3.63-inch upswept blade blends traditional Japanese tanto styling with a katana-inspired tip, saber-ground from premium Böhler M390 steel for exceptional edge performance. A rear blade extension functions as a straight-razor-style opener, while the titanium handle features integral spring arms and ball bearings that index with the blade to hold it securely open. The Spyderco Bug gets an elegant upgrade with nickel silver handle scales and genuine abalone inlays, elevating the smallest folder in the lineup to a collectible showpiece. The Spyderco Starmate Sprint Run honors the legacy of Bob Terzuola and Sal Glesser with a modern tribute to their historic collaboration. This limited-edition version features a 3.74-inch hollow-ground blade crafted from CPM 20CV stainless steel, offering excellent wear resistance and edge retention. The satin-finished, modified clip-point blade opens smoothly with Spyderco’s signature Round Hole and locks securely with a Michael Walker LinerLock. The Spyderco Moran Sprint Run honors the legacy of ABS founder Bill Moran and commemorates both the 30th anniversary of Spyderco’s first fixed blade and what would have been Moran’s 100th birthday. This limited-edition version of the Moran Upswept features a 3.92-inch full-flat ground blade made from Damasteel DS93X, showcasing a striking Dense Twist Damascus pattern. The blade combines elegance with high performance, offering excellent strength, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Its gray FRN handle is paired with black Kraton inlays for a secure grip.
