SMKW Exclusive Knives at Blade Show 2025
Published: July 4th, 2025
Blade Show 2025 was a standout event for SMKW, where we unveiled an exclusive lineup that blends tradition, innovation, and collectibility. Our latest offerings include vibrant new Case Trapper variants, bold and expressive Kizer Drop Bear designs, a premium MagnaCut upgrade from Queen Cutlery, and a uniquely outfitted Spyderco Shaman. Each knife was crafted to reflect our commitment to distinctive style, high performance, and quality materials. Whether rooted in classic patterns or modern flair, these exclusives were made to stand out. Here’s a closer look at the SMKW-only releases that made waves on the show floor this year.
Kizer
Drop Bear (Grumbly)
The Kizer Drop Bear Grumbly is a folding knife that blends solid everyday performance with a bit of moody personality. It features a 2.99-inch drop point blade made from Nitro-V stainless steel with a satin finish, offering a good mix of toughness, corrosion resistance, and slicing ability. The knife opens easily with a blue ambidextrous thumb stud and secures with Kizer’s Clutch Lock, which allows for smooth operation and customizable spring tension. This SMKW-exclusive version is fitted with contoured blue G-10 handles and a UV-printed graphic that includes bold rainbow accents, cloudy details, and bubble lettering with a slightly stormy expression, clearly channeling a grumpier kind of charm. The deep-carry clip and hardware match in blue, and the handle includes a lanyard hole. Closed length is 4.17 inches, overall length is 7.16 inches, and the knife weighs 4.23 ounces.
Drop Bear (Rainbow)
The Kizer Drop Bear Rainbow is a lively SMKW-exclusive folding knife that combines everyday utility with colorful personality. It features a 2.99-inch, satin-finished, drop point blade made from Nitro-V stainless steel. The blade opens with a pink ambidextrous thumb stud and locks into place using Kizer’s Clutch Lock, a smooth and fully adjustable mechanism that allows users to fine-tune spring tension for their preferred action. The handle is constructed from pink G-10 and decorated with a UV-printed design that includes rainbow stripes, bubbly details, and a small heart, giving the knife a cheerful, nostalgic look. The closed length is 4.17 inches, and the knife opens to 7.16 inches overall. A pink deep-carry pocket clip and lanyard hole complete the build, and the weight of 4.23 ounces gives it a comfortable, substantial feel.
Queen Cutlery
Mountain Man Trapper
The Queen Cutlery Mountain Man Trapper is a modern take on a classic folding knife design, featuring a 2.625-inch clip point blade made from CPM-MagnaCut steel with a satin finish. This premium stainless steel is well-regarded for its combination of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. The knife operates as a slip joint, with no lock, and opens via a long pull on the spine. It measures 4.125 inches closed and 7.5 inches overall when open. The handle is made from red and black carbon fiber, offering a rugged, lightweight feel with a unique layered appearance. Ambidextrous by design, it’s a U.S.-made folder that bridges traditional styling with high-performance materials.
Spyderco
Shaman
This SMKW-exclusive Spyderco Shaman pairs high-performance materials with a distinct handle treatment not found in the standard lineup. It features a 3.58-inch drop point blade made from CPM-S45VN stainless steel, finished with a black DLC coating that boosts wear resistance and reduces glare. The blade opens smoothly using Spyderco’s signature round hole opener and locks into place with the brand’s well-known compression lock. Measuring 4.67 inches closed and 8.25 inches overall, the knife supports ambidextrous carry with a reversible pocket clip and one-handed operation. The standout feature on this variant is the grey canvas Micarta handle, a material exclusive to SMKW’s offering. It replaces the typical G-10 with something more tactile and organic, offering a comfortable grip that gradually develops a worn-in look over time. Made in the USA.
