Smoky Mountain Knife Works, located in Sevierville, Tennessee, is renowned as the world's largest knife store. It started in the early 1970s when our company’s founders, Kevin Pipes, and John Parker began to sell knives out of the back of their pickup trucks. Spending almost a decade building relationships with customers and vendors before establishing Smoky Mountain Knife Works in 1978. Smoky Mountain Knife Works rapidly outgrew its first two stores before we moved into our current home in 1991 on Winfield Dunn Parkway beside the French Broad River. We later expanded the store in 2005 to house a 108,000-square-foot showroom.

Step onto the main floor of our original showroom, where we feature a captivating array of knives from renowned brands like Buck, Bear & Son, Boker, Cold Steel, Spyderco, and more. Descend to the second level, where a huge collection of kitchen essentials awaits, with showcases of knives from prestigious companies such as Zwilling, Victorinox, Wusthof, Shun, and Miyabi.

In our latest showroom, we feature a curated selection of brands like Case, Microtech, Benchmade, Kershaw, CRKT, and more. Deeper in the Knife Cave, we house blades from brands like WE/CIVIVI and Kizer, complimented by a vast collection of swords. 

Above our new showroom, we showcase an extensive range of brands such as Under Armour, Ariat, Danner, LaCrosse, and others, ensuring you find the perfect fit for your style and needs. Additionally, indulge your passion for fishing and hunting with our premium gear selection from brands like Columbia, Sitka, Drake, and Costa, offering everything you need for your outdoor pursuits.

Venturing below our latest showroom we have two of our sister companies, you'll find The Smoky Mountain Relic Room, a haven for enthusiasts of history and archaeology, where curated artifacts and treasures unfold stories from the past.
