Knives of 2025 Part 1 (January - June)

Published: December 22nd, 2025

Knives of 2025, January to June, with mountain background.

The first half of 2025 shaped up to be an interesting period across the knife industry, with manufacturers taking familiar platforms in new directions and revisiting patterns that haven’t seen the spotlight in years. Benchmade, Microtech, Case, Buck, Kershaw, Leatherman, CRKT, Queen, Jack Wolf Knives, and more all introduced models that showed clear shifts in materials, finishes, and design priorities. MagnaCut and S90V appeared in more production runs, Cerakote and unique anodized treatments became increasingly common, and several companies leaned on exclusives or limited releases to showcase new ideas without moving away from the core identities of their catalog.

For users, collectors, and anyone who keeps up with yearly trends, the first six months offered a mix of updated automatics, revived traditional folders, modern slipjoints, and fixed blades built for both field use and detailed work. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at some of the highlight releases from January through June, knives that stood out for their construction, material choices, or thoughtful refinements to established designs.
